A word of the President of the Little Dreams Foundation, Orianne Collins
« I do not recall having ever heard about somebody, whose nose is longer than usual, not being allowed to travel on the train. Neither about somebody with a high pitched voice, not being allowed to give a speech. These things make up the basis of the Human rights and therefore, as each person is different, these rights should logically cover each and every difference.
These rights should also be valid for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, however, for some obscure reasons, it is not always the case. For some amongst us, these people might as well be from another planet...even though, we are all the same !
Whether it is somebody with long hair or bald, walking without any problems or moving in a wheelchair, it is the same painting. Only simply with slightly different shades of colors, that is all. We have already made a lot of progress to facilitate the lives of those who are « physically challenged » but there is still much more to achieve...and it all begins at first, with our mental attitude ».
